What is that small hole on CD/DVD drive?
Everyone might have noticed this. There is a small hole on CD/DVD drive. What's the use of this?
This hole is called as Emergency Eject Hole/Manual Eject Hole.
If CD is stuck inside CD/DVD drive or eject button is not working then this emergency eject hole can be used to eject the CD manually.
In order to eject the CD manually, take a safety pin and gently push it inside hole.
Or in other case, consider you turned off the system and you forgot to take out the CD, so to perform normal eject you need to restart the system. To avoid restarting the system this emergency eject can be used.
